New Challenges and New Technologies in Public Administration, Public Finances and Tax Law

The conference titled "New Challenges and New Technologies in Public Administration, Public Finances and Tax Law" was held at Széchenyi István University on September 26-27, 2024. The event was organized by the International Center of Public Finance and Tax Law Research (Poland) and the Central and Eastern European Public Administration Association, associated with our university. The conference was attended by 44 participants from Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and North Macedonia.

III. National Professional Days of Public Administration

The III. National Professional Days of Public Administration took place in Zalakaros on 18-19 April 2024, organised and supported by the Széchenyi István University (SZE), the National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH) and the Central and Eastern European Public Administration Association (CEA), with the participation of renowned representatives of public administration, courts and the legal profession, as well as several representatives of the legislative and law enforcement.

Conference on Financial Sustainability of Local Governments

On 18 and 19 March 2024, the Department of Public Administration and Finance Law hosted the International Conference on Financial Sustainability of Local Governments. The aim of the conference was to bring together speakers from different countries to share best practices on the organisation and development of local governments' finances from a sustainability perspective with each other and the audience.

III. National Public Administration Science Conference

The III. National Public Administration Science Conference was held in Sárvár on 16-17 November 2023 (hereinafter: III OKTT), jointly organised by the Széchenyi István University and the Central and Eastern European Association for Public Administration. The aim of the event was, on the one hand, to present the research topics, academic achievements and future plans of the Hungarian universities' public administration law departments, which have been the main topics of research in the past year, and on the other hand, to explore and present the challenges, theoretical foundations, current issues and most important professional questions of the organisation of public administration.

II. National Public Administration Science Conference

On 10-11 November 2022, the II. National Public Administration Science Conference (hereinafter: II OKTT) took place in Sárvár. The aim of the event was, on the one hand, to present the teaching challenges, curriculum development efforts, key research topics, academic achievements, plans, and current professional issues of the Hungarian public administration law departments, and, on the other hand, to explore and present the theoretical foundations, current issues and most important professional dilemmas of public contracts and public services.

Our meeting was organised by the Foundation for the Development of Democratic Local Public Administration and the Central and Eastern European Association for Public Administration (KTE) on 28-29 April 2022 in Kecskemét.

The organisers of the event aimed at bringing together the faculties of administrative law of the Hungarian faculties of law and the University of Public Service to present their views on the challenges of administrative procedure in the context of global trends (e.g. digitalisation, global economic challenges, crisis, pandemic, competition between countries, multinational companies). In line with this objective, all the faculties of law of the country and the University of Public Service were represented at the Meeting in Kecskemét.
